Merge Title Points from different chars into a selected one.
It has been suggested before that some titles should become account based. However since ANet probably intended those titles to be gold sinks becoming account based kind of defies their purpose.
I'm suggesting that we be allowed to merge the points for those titles from different chars on a char of our choice. Note that I am referring to non - having to kill stuff titles such as :
* Drunkard
* Treasure Hunter
* Wisdom
* Sweet Tooth
* Party Animal
That way we can play more chars without having to switch back to a specific one in order to id stuff, open chests, or consume.
I'm editing this in order to clarify some points people don't seem to grasp or choose to ignore.
* The titles could become permanent on a char once they are added to the HoM.
* This solution doesn't make the titles easier to obtain since if you want them for multiple chars you would still have to gather the same amount of points as you do now ( ex. if you want 2 drunkard you would still need 2 * 10000 minutes ). The only difference is that you wouldn't actually have to play only those 2 chars in order to gather the points.
This way the titles still function as gold sinks. You would still need the same amount of money/time for each maxed title.
Unless of course someone thinks that because the game would become more enjoyable for some of us that makes it easier.

What about the God Walking Among Mere Mortals title track?
It would be adorable if you can show it with all you favorite chars!
(lets say you started with a warrior, and you reached GWAMM, and then you try the monk, you love it and you never play again on your warrior! [/bummer])
I can understand why people would want to have the non-combat orientated titles become account based instead of character based. However i would not like to see this happen, it removes all purpose for these titles.
It just seems people want the game to be easier as "party items" and the like have gone up in price. But i bet if the prices for these items were semi reasonable then people wouldn't care so much.
The goal of these title is to ACHIEVE something for your personal pleasure. Any way to make those easier to get you should discuss with the people who already got those the way it is now.
Any sugestions to make title obtaining easier will never get my vote.
Guild: Leader-Legion of Avalon [LoA] Alliance-Recruiting PM for info!
While I agree that wisdom and treasure hunter should have an account wide influence, I'm going to have to pass on this idea.
Lets say for instance I max Drunkard. Should I then be able to switch that from one character to another? If anything similar to this is implemented, it'll need to be strongly regulated.
I think i would prefer the thousands of party points i used before the title came out to be counted, if that were the case, insta life of the party, but alas, it is not and two years or so of party crap down the drain
I don't understand why you guys are going on about this "making the game easier" - ESPECIALLY for the consumable related titles. Why do you care so much what character someone pops an ale on? There's a fine line between reasonable convenience, and making a title easier to get. Do you HONESTLY think that being able to pop an ale on any character is an unreasonable convenience that lowers the integrity of a player? Good lord, folk.
Do you think the allegiance titles (Kurz/Lux) should be character based, too? It sounds assanine, doesn't it? Because then you're condemned to ABing on character. To doing vanquishes on one character. To running HFF on one characer. Is it an unreasonable convenience for it to be account-based? I know a lot more goes time goes in to that title, but hey! It's the principle of the matter, isn't it?
It just seems petty and a waste of time to care about such a miniscule thing. I guess the effort of putting a gold in storage to ID it on your main character makes or breaks the integrity of a player.

- Playing as a monk is absolutetly not the same as palying as an assassin, isn't it?
- And it's even more different in PvP, where you must focus much more in the gameplay and you cannot "C, space, mashnumbers" like in many PvE areas.
But PvP titles are shared.
Why aren PvE titles account based too?
If you could freely 'move' the points from one character to another, the 'regret' of playing with one character instead of with another would comletely vanish.
And that's VERY good.
To prevent pre-Searing characters getting this, it would be required and NPC that will not exist in pre-Searing.
Talk to the NPC (The Xunlai Agent would do just fine) and 'leave' the title in her hands.
Log in with another character, and the other character 'takes' the points as long as the character do not have that title aready maxed.
I am not an advocate of making anything in this game easier. Its way to easy now. The casual players that consist of a minuscule portion of this games community have been pampered to enough. I will not powder your bottom and tell you that you are special.
Why do you care so much what character someone pops an ale on?
The primary reason is that players that have already achieved these titles on multiple characters using the current system will feel like they've been "cheated", primarily of millions of gold.
Personally, I like the idea of having the Treasure Hunter and Seeker of Wisdom titles being account wide...not sure why they were made to be character-based to begin with. The consumables...meh, I'm indifferent since I don't invest in those gold sinks anyways. Other titles, like the Protector, Guardian, Vanquisher and Cartographer titles...I'm vehemently against, since those are gained strictly by playing the game and not by simply investing money.

To "discuss" with selfish people will lead to nothing!! Makes simple no sense, there you could try better to discuss somethign with the wall right next to you, with it you will just have the same "discussion".
Life is often not fair, to improve the gameplay of a game permanently it IS so, that very much people have then to bite into a sour apple, but most people make titles like drunkard or Sweettooth and Treasure Hutner so or so only with their title hunting Main Character, due to the insane grind of those titles and their cost. People with more than 1 Character having thsoe grind titles maxed are so or so imo sure some of those damn armbrace cheaters mostly under a very few handful maybe of honest players, which made it through extreme powerselling and luckers, which got on extreme rare Minipets, like Kanaxai....
But Life is fair enough, that those people, which already have the titles with their main charas will have it also then easier with ALL their other characters, that actualy don't have the title. Playing GW then with more than 1 Character would make simple again more fun and would be more like the GW again ,we had, when Titles didn't existed !!!!!, because then you could give a shit on it, if you play only with 1 Character, of if you give yourself the time and effort to play 8 or more characters. People should start to understand finally this important point and stop looking at things ever first with their personal selfish point of view... gets annoying to hear ever again the same ridiculous retarded reasons, why something should not be done by Anet, that would heavily improve the gameplay of GW, because ... ya because the almighty Ass "X" with his character "Blah Blah Blah" has already done something the old way and would be emo forever, if Anet would change something, that would make millions of other players totally HAPPY !!!!

Exactly. PERSONAL.
That is, ONE person.
Two different persons cannot play in the same account, the EULA forbids so.
So the person that plays with one character is the same that plays as another.
Just like in PvP titles are completely shared, there's nothing against doing something similar in PvE.
